OJR Customise Parts
Remodelling Set No 1
Republic Customisation Set
Empire Customisation Set
New Republic Customisation Set
New Empire Customisation Set

Remodelling set No 1 contained a collection of extra parts for use with the early Zoids (RMZ-01 to RMZ-10). Some of the parts were later included with the Godos and Guysack.

The Republic Customisation Set included the parts found in CP-10 (Supercannons and quad impact cannon) as well as a frame of extra weapons (Energy tanks, stabilisers, missile pods) and a frame of connectors to allow the supercannons to be connected to Gojulas, Gordos, Salamander, Mammoth and Ultrasaurus. The entire set was re-released with the Cannoneer Gordos.

The Empire Customisation Set included the parts found in CP-11 (Thruster pack, Maneuver Verniers, Missile Launcher cover) as well as the weapons found on the Iron Kong PK (Hyperbeam Cannon, long range missiles, twin cannon), a second maneuver pack for Redhorn and Saber Tiger and connectors to allow the various weapons to be attached to Iron Kong, Redhorn, Saber Tiger and Dimetrodon. At present, only parts of this set have been re-released.

The New Republic Customisation Set included all the parts from the New Republic Customisation as well as the parts included in CP-01 (Twin beam cannons)

The New Empire Customisation Set included the parts found in the Empire Customisation Set as well as CP-02 (Wings, missile launcher and other parts) allowing attachment to the Deathsaurer.

OJR Grade-Up Parts
GU-01 Hyper Beam Gun Unit
GU-02 Pulse Beam Cannon
GU-03 Eye Flasher
GU-04 Wing Rider Flight Unit
GU-05 Hover Flight Unit

All of the grade-up units, save for GU-03 can be connected to any grade-up Zoid on its Power Connector Port. GU-03 attached to either the belly or back of the Zoid and replaced its eyes; It could not be used with King Gojulas or Gilvader who already had light-up eyes.

A recoloured version of GU-02 was included with the Gungyarados and is considered an integral part of the kit.

A recoloured version of GU-01was included with the TZ Storm Tiger.

MZ Zoids
MZ Zoids were special promotional Zoids and are EXTREMELY rare and sought after.

Garantula MK II
Zatton newtype
Gustav newtype

All models are identical to the regular release versions other than being moulded in the typical MK II and newtype colours (white and blue for Garantula and black and red for Zatton). The colours of the Gustav are unknown; possibly similar to the OER Red Scavenger.

Blue King Gojulas
Little is known about this. Most reports indicate it was a factory error.

Pullback Zoids
Little Super Deformed Zoids were released during the original line. Each had a pull-back-and-go mechanism and some came with moving guns.
Glidoler
Aquadon
Garius
Spiker
Garantula
Gorgodos
Elephantus
Barigator
Zatton
Malder
Sinker
Gator
Geruder
Molga
Saicurtis and Furolesios were also planned for release but never made it into production.

6 of the above were recoloured and released in Europe as Zany Zoids.
Pink Zaton (Geruder)
Yellow Tyrannazoid (Garius)
Green Stegazoid (Gorgodos)
Blue Spineback (Gator)
Red Zunder (Zatton)
Orange Protozoid (Elephantus)
Original American Release
Often counted as a part of the Robostrux line, the OAR was in fact the first release to use the name Zoids, predating the OJR. Most of the Zoids were unnamed; all are identical to their OJR counterparts. The OAR was replaced with Robostrux, the two often being counted together as the one line.

(Garius)
(Glidoler)
(Elephantus)
(Gargantulus)
(Aquadon)

Giant Zrk (Bigasaur)
Mammoth (Mammoth)
Power Zoid (Tank)
Power Zoid (Serpent)

The Mammoth was released by Radio Shack and, while not specifically designated as a part of the OAR, it is usually counted as such.

The Power Zoids were identical to the OER versions

Robostrux
Robostrux Zoids were released in two factions, the same as the OER, and likewise had no numbering system.

Blue Guardians
Unnamed Zoid (Gildoler)
Baltar (Geruder)
Reptex (Gator)
Runna (Merda)
Sekta (Spiker)
Slithor (Malder)
Stunra (Sinker)
Brutox (Redhorn)
Badox (Iron Kong)
Terrox (Gojulas)

Red Mutants
Brox (Zaton)
Chompz (Barrigator)
Kreep (Molga)
Legz (Gargantulus)
Rado (Pteras)
Spartak (Godos)
Stang (Guysack)
Gordox (Gordos)
Radox (Salamander)

The Glidoler was released as a promotional or giveaway item in a bag rather then a box. It had no name. The mould is actually a re-colour of the OER Terrared, as it has a “clamhead” canopy.

The Sekta has a “clamhead” canopy instead of the “whitehead” of the Spiker.

The Rado and Legz are identical to the OER Zark and Tarantulon respectively; the Legz has a “clamhead” canopy.

The Brutox has the same launcher as the OER Gore. Additionally it has a chromed silver version of the small weapons frame found on Zoids like Redhorn and Saber Tiger.
Radox also has a chrome gold sprue of these weapons.

Some Robostrux were released with modified OER packaging, and then re-released with Robostrux packaging. In all cases, the models were identical.

Original European Release
The OER didn’t have any sort of numbering scheme; the names presented here are in the rough equivalent order to the OJR. The OJR names are in parenthesis

Blue Guardians
Tyrannozoid (Garius)
Terrazoid (Glidoler)
Protozoid (Elephantus)
Spiderzoid (Gargantulus)
Aquazoid (Aquadon)
Stegozoid (Gorgodos)
Brontozoid (Hydocker)
Cosmozoid (Ptersolos)
Mantazoid (Spiker)
Hydrazoid (Fusilious)
Giant Zrk (Bigasaur)
Trooperzoid (Godos)
Scorpozoid (Guysack)
Tank Power Zoid
The Mighty Zoidzilla (Gojulas)
Great Gorgon (Gordos)
Gore the Lord Protector (Iron Kong)
Kroc (Barrigator)
Zillon (Iguan)
Zore (Hammer Rock)
Kannon (Cannon Tortoise)
Zabre (Saber Tiger)
Zarwolf (Command Wolf)
Cyberdon (Gorheks)
Zear (Bear Fighter)
Shield Tiger (Shield Liger)
Mammoth (Mammoth)

Red Mutants
Hellrunner (Merda)
Spineback (Gator)
Slitherzoid (Molga)
Zatton (Geruder)
Zunder (Zaton)
Slime (Malder)
Z-Ray (Sinker)
Zark (Pterasu)
Terrared (Glidoler)
Tarantulon (Gargantulus)
Serpent Power Zoid
Redhorn the Terrible (Redhorn)
Mammoth the Destroyer (Mammoth)
Krark the Prince of Darkness (Salamander)
Scarab (Saicurtis)
Hellcat (Helcat)
Znake (Snakes)
Red Scavenger (Gustav)
Black Rhinos (Black Rhimos)
Dramadon (Brachios)
Zolkon (Redler)
Spinefin (Dimetrodon)
Ultrasaurus (Ultrasaurus)

Tank and Serpent are designs that have no OJR equivalent. They are small, battery operated Zoids, smaller then a Command Wolf and use wheels rather then legs for movement. Each came with one of 3 colours of wheel; Tank could come with brown, black or the rumoured blue and Serpent could come with silver, green or brown. Their wheels are interchangeable and neither had any rubber caps. Tank had suspension.

Terrared and Tarantulon are the Glidoler and Gargantulus respectively with Imperial-style “Clamhead” canopies and new colour schemes.

Gore had a different shoulder missile launcher to the OJR Iron Kong. The version found on Gore is a compeltely different mould that does not fire.

Krark's backpack was also modified to omit the firing mechanism. The missiles were moulded into the launchers, rather then being on a seperate frame.

The release of the Ultrasaurus is questionable; there is evidence to suggest that it did get at least a limited release and distribution.

A “blue guardian” version of the Deathsaurer, called Deathsaurus, was planned but never produced or released. The Double Sworder appeared on artwork for the Spinefin’s box, but it was recycled OJR art and not indicative of a planned release.

A blue Mammoth, almost identical to the OJR Mammoth, was sold in selected parts of mainland Europe. The only notable differences are that it came with silver pilots and Zenevas insignia.

Technozoids
The Technozoids had no numbering system or factions. A number of Technozoids were supposedly planned but never released. The ones that can be confirmed released are:

Armored Gator (Barrigator)
Evil Scorpion (Guysack)
Venom Snake (Snakes)
Demon Lizard (Heldigunner)
Dragonfly (Redra)
Strike Zila (Arosaurer)
Storm Tiger (Battle Cougar)
Claw (Shield Liger)
Saber (Saber Tiger)
Evil Pegasus (Ouridious)
Iron Kong (Iron Kong)
Zoidzilla (Gojulas)
Battlesaurus (Ultrasaurus)

The Storm Tiger included Grade-Up Unit 1 (Dual Heavy Cannon) in the kit.

The Claw, Saber and Zoidzilla are identical to the Zoids2 Versions

The Iron Kong had the same missile launcher as the OJR, but did not come with a spring to launch it.

The Venom Snake cannot be confirmed to have been released. The only sighting of one was a mint-in-box example on a Japanese auction.

The following Technozoids were planned for release, but apparently never reached production.

Small Battlesaurus (Brachios)
Doberman (Zeekdober)
Mammoth (Mammoth)
Thunder Trictops (Mad Thunder)

Zoids2
Like the Technozoids, the Zoids2 had no numbering scheme or factions.

Aquazoid (Aquadon)
Hellrunner (Merda)
Slither (Molga)
Tarantulon (Gargantulus)
Cruncher (Bear Fighter)
Demon Lizard (Heldigunner)
Raptor (Arosaurer)
Redhorn (Black Rhimos)
Redwing (Reddra)
Stego (Gorheks)
Claw (Shield Liger)
Saber (Saber Tiger)
Spinefin (Dimetrodon)
Iron Kong (Iron Kong)
Zoidzilla (Gojulas)
Ultrasaururs (Ultrasaurus)

Despite sharing its name with the OER variant, the Tarantulon uses the same Republic-style cockpit as the Gargantulus/Spizerzoid.

The Claw, Saber and Zoidzilla are identical to the Technozoids Versions

Photos on some of the boxes show parts form the Gorgodos, Hydocker and Godos. It is possible that there were plans to release these as part of the line. The Zoids2 Promotional Comic also depicts Godos.

Zevle
Tomy re-released a few of the 1/24th scale Zoids as a separate line in the late 80s/early 90s. These versions had no numbering system, and were not counted as a part of the OJR line. The Zevle versions came with transfer decals rather then stickers, and pilots that needed to be glued together.

Bolodie (Neptune)
Gigiima (Dontress)
Landgallop (Battlerover)
Zeeva-0 (Roadskipper)
Zargam (Deathpion)
Golgola (Gorem)

NJR Pre-Release

In 1998 as a test for the NJR, Tomy did a limited run of Zoids.

DPZ-09 Deadborder
DPZ-10 Darkhorn

Both are near-identical to their OJR counterparts and were released in the same packaging; the Darkhorn has been re-tooled to use a single AA battery instead of two like the OJR, but its battery case doesn’t have a screw in the lid like the NJR.
The Deadborder has different coloured tubing - flat gray as opposed to orangey-brown.
